I am currently doing an experiment with the aim of study the cognitive mechanisms of distraction in young and elderly adults. To do this we use an oddball task, where an irrelevant distractor is presented just before the target (in this case a digit). Participants have to categorize digits in odd or even and distractors are irrelevant for the task.
